I feel the love!
So, I hear that many of you want to hear more about what's going on with Jenelle. So here I am ready to answer all your questions. The truth is, I've been really busy at work and just haven't gotten around to posting much lately. And I don't anticipate much of a slow down at work before the holiday closing.
As many of you know, we're heading to Oregon for a couple days over Thanksgiving. I'd love to see as many of you as possible, but we will be in only for a couple days. We're planning to take a little road trip to Seattle on Saturday and Sunday, so we won't be in Portland that much. Just for Turkey Day and then Shopping Day. It's practically a tradition. Brave the crowds and hope for a bargain.
In anticipation of the holidays, I spent the afternoon steaming pumpkins. Since Halloween is over, Wal-Mart was having a special on pumpkins -- 25 cents each. So we got a couple and I made a complete mess out of the kitchen getting them all steamed, mashed and frozen. Here's a tip. Don't take the lid off when you're using the blender, but more importantly, don't stick the spatula into the blender while it's turned on. You'll get one big shredded plastic mess. If any of you accidentally get a bite of purple plastic in your pumpkin pie this holiday, I apologize profusely.
Next order of business -- restitching some throw pillows I had opened up to redistribute the batting. Call me Martha.
Is anyone else annoyed that now you can't see how many comments have been posted for a particular posting? I'll have to talk with Ben and see if we can fix that.

Yay! A Jenelle post!
I was laughing hysterically at picturing you with the purple plastic blender mess. I'll discreeting pull the plastic out of my mouth and not say anything. ;-)
As for the comments, yes, I miss being able to see if there are comments or not.
Have a great Thankgsiving with your family!

This is the most domestic I've ever seen you! From barely making mac n' cheese to steaming pumpkins . . . oh how the years go by. We'd love to see you of course when you guys are here, but your trip sounds like a whirlwind experience. Let us know . . .

I laughed out loud when I read about the pumpkin mess. You see, I had made that same mistake several years ago. Like Mother, like daughter! I think a piece of purple plastic in the pie would be a very nice touch!
Love you, Mom
